About Us
As the cornerstone of the Muizenberg community, the Blue Bird Garage Food & Goods Market takes place every Thursday and Friday night in a beautiful old postal plane hangar on the edge of this urban village. You will find this space filled with a collection of local artisans, specialty cooks, bakers, producers and designers. We bring the butcher, the baker, the t-shirt maker together under one eclectic, creative, vibey roof.
Handpicked South African wines, craft beer, delicious food, a creative kids area and great company are all part of the tapestry that makes this a very unique and inviting market experience.

Food
We have a variety of food stalls for you to grab some grub from including steaks, burgers, falafels, salads, Portuguese prego rolls, edo wraps and more! Sweet treats such as fudge, crepes, cupcakes, brownies and donuts are always on offer. Prefer to make your own food at home? Browse our fruit and veggie stall, free range eggs, smoked sausages, farm fresh cheese and homemade pickles and jams!
Bicycle Bar
Come straight to the Bicycle Bar to grab a refreshment! From local beers on tap, wine, soft drinks, kombucha and plenty of tequila – there’s something for everyone.
Shopping
What’s a market without shopping? Check out our shopping section and browse stalls from leather bags and hats, books, handmade silver and brass jewellery, ceramics, body products and oils, clothing from local designers and an awesome vintage stall!
Kiddies area
Can’t find a babysitter for the night? We have you covered! A dedicated kids area is equipped with an awesome jungle gym for the little ones to keep them busy and fully entertained.

We are always dog friendly, if the dogs are friendly 😉 Please keep your pups on a lead and bring them down for an exciting outing and hopefully a few treats.
